EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Baseball was shut out by Little Rock in the second game in the series, 6-0, Saturday afternoon at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock, Arkansas. USI is 17-10 this season and 3-2 in the OVC, while Little Rock falls to 16-11, 4-1 OVC.
Little Rock struck first and often in the first two frames, scoring once in the first and three-times in the second to take a 4-0 lead. USI junior right-hander
Ryan Weller (2-1) was charged with all four of the runs, going 2.1 innings in taking the loss.
The score would remain 4-0 until the bottom of the sixth when the Trojans upped the margin to the eventual final score of 6-0 with a pair of tallies. USI was limited to six hits in the contest, led by senior catcher
Micajah Wall, who had a pair of hits.
