USI Women’s Basketball to host George Washington Monday evening in WNIT Second Round

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Basketball will host its second-round game of the 2026 Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), powered by Triple Crown Sports, on Monday at 6 p.m. inside Liberty Arena, home of the Screaming Eagles, against George Washington University.

The news comes following George Washington's (16-17, 7-11 A-10) first-round win against Bradley University on Thursday night, 63-60.

USI Women's Basketball (21-10, 14-6 OVC) is coming off a third straight OVC Tournament berth while also reaching at least the semifinal round for the third season in a row. Plus, USI has won 20 or more games for three straight seasons. The Screaming Eagles are making their third-straight WNIT appearance and third second-round appearance. USI advanced to the Super 16 in last year's 2025 edition. The Eagles have hosted all four WNIT games they have competed in over the last two seasons.
