OWENSBORO, Ky.- University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis records its first win of the 2026 season on the road at Brescia University in a 7-0 sweep.
Doubles
The Screaming Eagles won all of the doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In the one slot, junior
Antonia Ferrarini and sophomore
Rylie Wilkison teamed up for the first time of the 2026 season to secure a 6-4 win. Juniors
Enna Krnjic and
Sofia Davidoff also earned a 6-4 victory. On the threes court,
Claire Meyer and
Anais Negrail claimed their first doubles win of the season in a dominant 6-1 match.
Singles
All six of the singles points went to the Screaming Eagles, many seeing their first singles win of the season. First to claim victory was junior Meyer in the six slot (6-1, 6-1) in her first win of the season.
Davidoff moved into the number two spot for the match, recording a confident win marking her third of the year (6-2, 6-0), and first in the two slot. Negrail then secured the Eagle victory by adding the fourth point to the board with her first win of the season (6-1, 6-1). Krnjic also added her first win of the 2026 season in a strong win on the four court (6-1, 6-1).
Wilkison moved into the number three spot for the day and added the fifth point for USI to the score marking her first singles win of the season (6-3, 6-3). Last to finish was Ferrarini, who took her match to a tiebreaker set (5-6, 6-0, 10-7).
The Screaming Eagles are back in action tomorrow afternoon as they continue their road stretch to the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 4 p.m. in a doubleheader with the Men's team.
