EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer continues its homestand Monday night when the Screaming Eagles battle the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay at 7 p.m.

Monday's match will be the second in USI's five-game homestand, and the fifth matchup between USI (1-1-0) and Green Bay (0-2-0). The Phoenix won last year's matchup 3-2, scoring the go-ahead goal in the final five seconds of the game.

USI began the homestand Tuesday night by defeating Rose-Hulman 1-0. The Eagles' offense struggled in the first half, taking four shots but failing to score. The teams entered halftime tied at 0-0, mirroring the 2024 matchup.

The Eagles were able to break through with a game-winning 64th-minute goal from junior midfielder
Pablo Juan. USI tallied 10 shots from nine different players, with two coming from freshman forward

The Eagles' defense suffocated the Fightin' Engineers, limiting them to five shots, two on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Jacob English tallied one save, moving his total to eight through two games.

Green Bay comes to USI after a 2-1 loss at Indiana University Thursday night. The Phoenix jumped out early to a 1-0 lead, scoring only 1:48 into the match. Indiana took some time getting into their offensive rhythm, scoring both of their goals in the second half.

Senior forward Chris Album has scored the only goal for Green Bay so far this season. The Phoenix opened the season with a 1-0 loss to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, August 25.

Green Bay is the first of back-to-back Horizon League Conference opponents for the Eagles. USI will host Indiana University Indianapolis on Saturday, September 6, at 1 p.m.
