EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis drops its first match of the weekend to Eastern Kentucky University, 4-1, at the Evansville Tennis Center Friday afternoon. This loss drops the Screaming Eagles to 3-5 on the season.

Doubles
USI could not secure a doubles victory, despite a strong performance from the duo of senior
Quinten Gillespie and
Eytan Michaeli who fell in the two-double spot 6-3. Freshman
Jy Hibbert and junior
Axel Sabourin managed to take a game from the Colonel's number-one duo, losing 6-1.

Singles
Hibbert held strong against the EKU number four single, coming out on top 6-3, 6-4. Earning the Eagle's sole point on the day. Freshman
Adam Koon battled hard in his first set dropping it 7-6 (7-3), before falling 6-4 in the second set in the sixth slot.

In the first singles slot, junior
Mathys Bove lost 6-3, 6-1, while Sabourin dropped the number two match 6-2, 6-3. Michaeli had his match declared unfinished, despite being ahead 4-0 in the third set after winning the second 7-5. Gillespie's match was also declared unfinished in the third set, he had won the second 6-1 to force a third.
