DAYTON, Ohio – University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (0-5) dropped the first leg of the three-game road trip at the University of Dayton (6-6) on Friday, 4-0, at the South Regency Tennis Center. The Screaming Eagles drop its fifth straight match to open the season.
Doubles: Not much luck for USI in doubles play as sophomores
Antonia Ferrarini and
Sofia Davidoff combine to drop their number one matchup (6-2). Junior
Khandice Thomas made her season debut with senior
Abby Myers, dropping their doubles three match (6-1) as the Flyers took the advantage.
Singles: USI dropped early decisions in the singles two, five, and six slot which clinched the victory for the Flyers. Freshman
Anais Negrail had the advantage over her opponent in the singles one matchup winning the first set before it was declared unfinished.
NEXT UP FOR THE EAGLES:
The Eagles continue the three-game roadtrip in Clarksville tomorrow at Austin Peay State University at 1 p.m. Then, USI concludes the trip at Western Kentucky University of Sunday night.
