EVANSVILLE, Ind.- University of Southern Indiana Volleyball is set to take on the University of Tennessee at Martin in an Ohio Valley Conference road challenge.

Game one will be on Friday, Nov. 7, at 4 p.m. and will be available on ESPN+ for those with a subscription, as well as on live stats. The second will be Saturday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. and will be available only on live stats.

The Screaming Eagles are coming off a four-set loss to Tennessee Tech University on Wednesday night. The loss marked the first OVC loss for the squad inside Liberty Arena, and moved them to 8-4 in OVC play and 12-12 overall.

In the TTU match, freshman
Aysa Thomas tallied her 17
th consecutive double-double with 34 assists and a team-high 19 digs. Junior
Ashby Willis led the offense with 10 kills, followed by
Carley Wright,
Bianca Anderson, and
Leah Coleman, who each added eight kills.

The defensive effort was led at the net by junior
McKenzie Murphy and Wright, who each added five. As a team, USI put up nine blocks, maintaining its spot as the OVC leader with 2.27 blocks per set.

In the back row, sophomore libero
Audrey Small followed Thomas with 13 digs to help fight off the TTU offense. Sophomore defensive specialist
Kerigan Fehr was the target of the TTU serve, leading the team with 28 serve receptions, while picking up eight digs in the four sets. Â

Scouting the Opponent:
USI has a long history with the UT Martin Skyhawks, a matchup that goes back to 1989. UT Martin leads the series 7-3, winning the last two. The Skyhawks swept (3-0) the Eagles on their home court on October 22, 2024. USI has never won a match in the Skyhawk Fieldhouse during the series' history.

The Skyhawks are on a six-game losing streak, and Friday's match will mark their first time in front of their home crowd after four games on the road. UT Martin's last win was a five-set match against Western Illinois University, marking their only OVC victory so far this season. Redshirt sophomore Kayla Bryant is the leader of the Skyhawk offense, with the team's most kills at 221, and second most digs with 225 this season. Bryant recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 11 kills and 16 digs in UT Martin's last match, a loss at Eastern Illinois University. Freshman setter Ava Peters has recorded 648 assists for 8.00 assists per set. She tallied 26 assists in the Skyhawks' last match along with eight digs. Redshirt freshman Abby Freund leads the Skyhawks' back row with 316 digs for 3.85 digs per set. Head Coach Jaclynn Wilson is in her 11
th season at the helm and is the program's all-time winningest head coach in the Division I era.
