EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The "
Rick Stein on USI Women's Basketball" radio show begins this week for a preseason special ahead of next week's 2025-26 season tipoff. The radio show is set for Wednesday, October 29, from The Hilltop Inn off Harmony Way on Evansville's Westside.
Due to scheduled MLB World Series coverage on ESPN WREF 97.7 FM and listentotheref.com on Wednesday, the show will be live only in person at The Hilltop Inn from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday. The show will then air on tape delay on the radio on Thursday at 4 p.m. on WREF 97.7 FM and listentotheref.com.
The show will feature USI Women's Basketball Head Coach
Rick Stein and USI Basketball play-by-play commentator Brad Klein.
Stein will discuss the latest this preseason with USI Women's Basketball, talk about the Screaming Eagles' opening week schedule at home against Franklin College and Murray State, and preview the 2025-26 season.
Special interview guests on this week's show will be junior guard
Shannon Blacher and junior guard/forward
Sophia Loden.
The 2025-26 radio show schedule is as follows: October 29 (preseason), November 13, December 10, December 17, January 7, January 21, January 28, February 11, February 25, and March 11 or 18 (postseason). The schedule and times are subject to change.
