CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (7-9) suffered their first conference loss this afternoon at Southeast Missouri State University (10-6), 6-1. Both teams were tied on top of the Ohio Valley Conference standings going into the match.
Doubles
USI went took one of the three doubles matches. Freshman
Anais Negrail (Maisons-Alfort, France) and senior
Rachel McCorkle (Tulsa, Oklahoma) earned the lone doubles victory for the Screaming Eagles, 6-3.
Singles
Negrail continued her impressive day with a victory in the singles four matchup winning 6-1, 6-7, 0-1. Freshman
Sofia Davidoff (Lagny-sur-Marne) and junior
Madison Windham (Clarksville, Tennessee) took their opponents deep into the match, but came up short.
What's Next
USI falls to 3-1 in the OVC, as SEMO improves to 5-0. The Eagles look to bounce back on senior day at the USI Tennis Courts on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. USI will celebrate seniors
