CINCINNATI, Ohio – University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (3-6) was swept for the second-straight match, this time to Xavier University at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club Saturday evening.
Doubles: The Screaming Eagles put up a fight in doubles play but could not get a win. The sophomore combination of
Madison Windham (Clarksville, Tennessee)/
Abby Brown (Evansville, Indiana) was the closest to earning a point despite dropping the number three set (6-2).
Singles: USI did not find a win in the singles competition, giving Xavier the 7-0 match victory. Junior
Rachel McCorkle (Tulsa, Oklahoma) was able to push the score at number two, falling 6-1, 6-4.
NEXT UP FOR THE EAGLES:
The Eagles will end their longest road trip of the season with a drive to Indianapolis to face IUPUI at the West Indy Racquet Club at 12:30 p.m. (CT). The Jaguars are 2-7 and will face Eastern Illinois University before matching up with the Eagles.
