EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (5-4) struggled against regional opponent Tiffin University (15-4) in a 5-2 loss at Wesselman Park Friday evening. This is the second straight loss for the Screaming Eagles and the first time USI has had a winless streak this season.
DOUBLES: USI found no success in doubles competition against the Dragons, losing the first point of the match.
SINGLES: The Eagles recorded a pair of wins in the singles competition to highlight the evening. Sophomore
Lauren Rowe (Terre Haute, Indiana) and freshman
Madison Windham (Clarksville, Tennessee) each collected victories for USI. Windham secured the Eagles first win in the six spot (6-4, 6-4) before Rowe used a tiebreaker in the first singles' slot to tally the Eagles second win (2-6, 6-4, 1-0).
COMING UP FOR THE EAGLES:
The Eagles will have conference foe, Quincy University, come to Evansville on Sunday at Wesselman Park with a 1 p.m. start time. The Eagles have dominated the Hawks in past matches with a controlling 11-1 all-time series lead.
