Eagle’s Fall to Warriors, 7-0

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis fell to Wayne State University on Sunday, 7-0, in a neutral site in Indianapolis. The Screaming Eagles fall to 5-2 overall, while the Warriors improve to 8-2.
 
DOUBLES: The Eagles started off slowly as Wayne State took all three doubles-matches to claim the point.
 
SINGLES: USI continued their slow start in singles, as the Warriors took the number one, five, and six singles to claim the match win. The Eagles fought back in the number two, four, and three singles, but  junior Yahor Bahdanovich (Belarus), junior Lucas Sakamaki (Floyds Knobs, Indiana), and graduate student Spencer Blandford (Louisville, Kentucky) all fell in third set tiebreakers.
 
UP NEXT FOR USI: USI begins the first half of a two week six-match road trip next week. Starting at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina on March 9 at noon. The Eagles then continue on March 10 as they travel to Columbus, Georgia to take on Columbus State University at 1 p.m.  Southern Indiana finishes the week on March 11 as they take on the University of North Georgia at 2 p.m. in Dahlonega, Georgia.
