EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis (3-2, 0-1 GLVC) overcame last week's loss and came away with a 5-2 win over Oakland City University (5-2) at the USI Tennis Courts Friday evening. This is the Screaming Eagles' fifth straight win over the Mighty Oaks since 2004.
DOUBLES: The Eagles started off with a 6-1 win from the freshman

Kylie Skepnek (Algonquin, Illinois) combination. USI's number one doubles duo of sophomore
Lauren Rowe (Terre Haute, Indiana)/sophomore
Rachel McCorkle (Tulsa, Oklahoma) secured the 6-1 victory to claim the first point of the match.
SINGLES: Four Eagles tallied wins in the singles competition. Freshman
Madison Windham (Clarksville, Tennessee) led off for USI with a 6-2, 6-0 victory right before freshman
Abby Brown (Evansville, Indiana) grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 win to notch the Eagles' third point. Junior
Chloe McIsaac (Fairview Heights, Illinois) tallied the Eagles second singles win (6-2, 6-0) at the number five slot. McCorkle ended the Oaks' night as the number two singles spot with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
COMING UP FOR THE EAGLES:
The Eagles travel to the Sunshine State for three matches in three days for the first road trip of the young season. USI takes on St. Cloud State University Wednesday March 9 at Cocoa Beach, Florida with a 10 a.m. start before battling Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida Thursday March 10 for a noon contest. The Eagles round out the trio matches with a battle with Warner University at the Cocoa Beach Racket Club for an 11 a.m. start.
