INDIANAPOLIS—University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis completed the first tournament of the 2021 fall season on Monday at the ITA Midwest Regional.
 
Sophomore Rachel McCorkle (Tulsa, Oklahoma) recorded USI's lone first-round victory in the Flight A singles competition, defeating Risako Umekuni (Walsh) 6-4, 6-4. McCorkle advanced to round two before falling to Diana Cabrera (SBU) 6-1, 6-2.
 
There were multiple Flight A consolation bracket winners for the Eagles. Sophomore Lauren Rowe (Terre Haute, Indiana) defeated Elizabeth McGivern (Hillsdale) 7-5, 6-1, advancing to the next round of the consolation bracket before defeating Gabriella Hudec (Ashland) 6-3, retired. Rowe ended her day falling to Sarah Hackman (Hillsdale) 6-3, 6-3.
 
USI claimed one victory in the doubles competition as McCorkle and Rowe defeated Sophia Baker/Elizaveta Velichko (Northwood), 8-0. McCorkle and Rowe ended their day with a defeat to Kristen Lagoda/Lea Cakarevic (UIndy), 8-4.
