EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer hopes to keep its momentum when it comes home to play a pair of GLVC contests in Evansville this weekend. The Screaming Eagles will host Quincy University Friday at the
Goebel Soccer Complex and Truman State University Sunday at
Strassweg Field.
Kickoff versus Quincy is set for 5 p.m. at Goebel, while the start time versus Truman at Strassweg is set for noon.
USI has implemented a spectator policy in 2021 due to COVID-19. For the safety and well-being of the players, coaches, and officials, the following guidelines have set in place:
• Attendance is limited to two pre-approved guests per USI student-athlete.
• Masks/face coverings for entry into the facility and must be worn at all times.
• Social distancing must be observed at all times.

Week 3 – Eagle GLVC Notes:
USI gets a split on the road: The Eagles posted a 1-1 split on the road last weekend, falling to Lewis University, 2-1, and getting their first win of the year at the University of Illinois Springfield, 1-0.
Santoro becomes all-time leader: Head Coach
Mat Santoro became the program's all-time leader in victories (98), breaking the tie with former Head Coach Tony Colavecchia.
Santoro, who has a 98-83-21 overall record at the helm, has guided the Eagles to a pair of NCAA II Tournament appearances; the 2018 GLVC regular season crown, and six GLVC Tournament appearances during his tenure. Colavecchia was 97-59-11 (.614) between 1988 and 1995.

Zach Barton leads the team in points with four points on two of the Eagles' three goals.
Between the posts. Senior goalkeeper
Justin Faas has the team lead between the posts with a 1.33 goals against average (GAA). Faas also has 12 saves in the three games.
Quincy this spring: Quincy is 3-1-1after sweeping a two-match homestand last weekend. The Hawks posted a 2-1 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a 1-0 win at McKendree University.
USI versus Quincy: The Eagles trail the series with Quincy University, 17-8-2, after closing the gap with a 2-1 road victory in 2019. USI has won the last six matches, one on penalty kicks in the NCAA II Midwest Regional.
Truman this spring: The Bulldogs, who visit McKendree Friday before coming to Strassweg Field, are 1-2-1 after a 2-2 double-overtime tie with the University of Missouri-St. Louis at home Sunday
. Truman started last week with a 4-3 overtime loss at Lindenwood University.
USI versus Truman: USI and Truman are knotted up all-time in the series, 9-9-3. The Eagles have won five matches, including a 4-1 victory in 2019, and battled to a pair of ties in the last seven matches versus the Bulldogs.
