ST. LOUIS, Mo. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Soccer allowed three first half goals and fell to the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 4-0, Friday evening in St. Louis, Missouri. The Eagles move to 5-9-1 overall and 4-8-1 in the GLVC, while the Tritons are to 8-6-1, 7-5-1 GLVC, after today's action.
USI and UMSL were in a dead heat until there was 15 minutes gone in the match when the Triton exploded for three goals in 10 minutes. UMSL scored at 29:55, 36:43, and 38:14 to take control of the match.
In the second half, the Tritons added to the lead with one more goal before closing out the 4-0 victory.
UPCOMING FOR THE EAGLES:
USI completes the 2021 regular season at Lindenwood University Sunday for a 2:30 p.m. contest. Lindenwood, who is 6-6-2 overall a 6-5-2 GLVC, tied top-ranked University of Indianapolis, 1-1, in double-overtime.
The Eagles lead the series with Lindenwood, 3-0-0, after a 4-3 win last spring in Evansville.
