EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team is at Strassweg Field this weekend for a pair of GLVC contests, starting Friday at 5 p.m. with Lindenwood University. Lindenwood will be appearing at Strassweg Field and playing the Screaming Eagles for the first time in the history of the two programs.
USI finishes the two-match homestand Sunday when it hosts the University of Missouri St. Louis for a noon kick off. Game coverage for both GLVC showdowns can be found on

Week 4 Eagle Notes:
A split last week: The Eagles split their GLVC games last week, posting a 1-0 victory over the University of Indianapolis before stumbling at Bellarmine University by the same score. Sophomore midfielder
Madison Cady posted USI's only goal of the week, getting the game-winner versus UIndy.
Climbing the record book: Junior forward
Maggie Winter is starting to climb the USI record book categories, moving into the top 10 in points (37), one away from ninth, and remained 11
th in goals scored (14), one away from entering the top 10.
Schoenstein enters his 4th year: USI Head Coach
Eric Schoenstein is in his fourth season as the head coach of the Eagles, producing a 32-21-7 mark (.592), a share of a GLVC regular season title, and three-straight GLVC Tournament appearances.
Lindenwood in 2019: The Lions of Lindenwood saw their record go to 2-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 GLVC after breaking a three-match losing streak with a 1-0 win over Lewis University. Lindenwood started its first season in the GLVC with a 1-0 loss to UMSL before falling to the University of Illinois Springfield by the same score.
Tritons in 2019: UMSL is off to a 1-4-0 start in 2019, 1-2-0 in the GLVC. The Tritons started the conference season with 1-0 loss to Lindenwood before dropping a pair of 2-1 matches to Lewis and Illinois Springfield.
USI vs. UMSL: USI and UMSL are tied in the all-time series, 12-12-0, after the Eagles defeated the Tritons last year at home, 1-0, on a goal by forward
Kennedy Moore. The Eagles also have won three of the last five matches versus the Tritons.
