Archuleta named to USA Baseball 14U NTDP Staff

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Head Coach Tracy Archuleta has been named a manager for the 2019 14U National Team Development Program (NTDP) by USA Baseball. Archuleta will manage the USA Stars in the 2019 14U NTDP July 21-24 at the USA Baseball Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

The NTDP offers athletes an opportunity to connect with USA Baseball Staff to better prepare for the future national team experiences. The program includes skill development sessions, off-field education seminars, an intra-squad series between Stars and Stripes teams; and exposure to professional scouts, college recruiters and the 15U National Team staff and task force.

"It's an honor to be selected by USA Baseball as a NTDP coach," said Archuleta. "I will be on the field with a selection of outstanding coaches from around the country and have the opportunity to influence the next generation of USA national players."

The winningest coach in the history of USI Baseball, Archuleta wrapped up his 13th season as the head coach of the Screaming Eagles in 2019. He has guided the Eagles to a 476-257 record, directing USI to a pair of NCAA Division II National Championships (2010, 2014) and five NCAA Division II Midwest Regional titles (2007, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018).

Both of USI's national championships and four of its five NCAA II Baseball Championship appearances have come at the Cary-based USA National Training Complex.

The two-time Division II ABCA National Coach of the Year (2010, 2014), who has over 600 wins as a collegiate baseball head coach, also has earned two ABCA Midwest Coach of the Year awards (2007, 2010) and Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year honors (2011, 2014).
