EVANSVILLE, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis closed the book on the 2018-19 season with a 5-2 victory over Davis & Elkins College on Sunday afternoon at the Evansville Tennis Center.
The Screaming Eagles (5-15, 1-4 GLVC) swept doubles play before taking four of six singles matches. USI allowed just two set-victories across doubles action.
Freshman
Shelby Braselton (Haubstadt, Indiana) led off singles play with a shutout in No. 6 action, setting the tone for freshman
Kylie Skepnek (Algonquin, Illinois) and junior
Lauren Hambrock (Terre Haute, Indiana) to clinch the match for the Eagles in No. 5 and No. 1 play, respectively.
Junior
Alex Jamison (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) grabbed the fifth USI point in the No. 3 match, with scores of 6-4, 6-4.
USI Women's Tennis finished the 2018-19 season on Sunday.
