LIBERTY, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis secures its second-straight win with a 6-1 victory over William Jewell College on Friday afternoon.
DOUBLES
USI (6-5) dropped the doubles point with the only winning Eagles squad was the sophomore duo of
Kooper Falkenstein (Jeffersonville, Indiana) and
Spencer Blandford (Louisville, Kentucky) as they defeated their opponent 6-4 at the number three slot.
SINGLES
Things got started at number five singles for the Eagles with freshman
Martin Linares (Buenos Aires, Argentina) who won in 6-0, 6-2. Following suit was Blanford at the number four position, 6-1, 6-2.
Freshman
Marvin Kromer (Dogern, Germany) and senior
Ilia Karelin (Ekaterinburg, Russia) continued the Eagles' winning ways with 6-4, 6-4, and 6-3, 6-2 wins, respectively, at the number one and two slots.
Falkenstein was able to build a 6-2, 6-4 win at number six and freshman
Parker Collignon (Owensboro, Kentucky) capped off the Eagles' victory at number three singles, 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.
