COCOA BEACH, Fla. - The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team fell to Saginaw Valley State University, 4-2, on Wednesday afternoon.
Juniors
Lauren Hambrock (Terre Haute, Indiana) and
Alex Jamison (Floyds Knobs, Indiana) got the day started with a 6-4 victory in No. 1 Doubles play. The Screaming Eagles received the doubles point by way of default in No. 3 competition.
Freshman
Lindsey McCord (Greenfield, Indiana) claimed the lone singles point for USI, also by default. Fellow freshman
Kylie Skepnek (Algonqiun, Illinois) was the only Eagle to force her match to three sets, falling after winning the opening set, 6-3.
USI Women's Tennis travels to the United States Tennis Association National Campus in Orlando, Florida for a match with St. Cloud State University on Thursday. The match is scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. (CST).
