EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The University of Southern Indiana women's tennis team fell to Bellarmine University, 6-1, at the Evansville Tennis Center Friday afternoon in its second match in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Screaming Eagles (3-11, 0-2 GLVC) were led by junior
Lauren Hambrock (Terre Haute, Indiana), who pulled in the lone USI point on the day, in Singles No. 1. play. Hambrock went three sets with Bellarmine's Jennifer Skonieczny, going to extras in both of her set victories, defeating Skonieczny, 7-5, 1-6, 11-9.
USI Women's Tennis returns to the USI Tennis Courts on Sunday to host Findlay University. Competition with the Oilers begins at noon.
