SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - University of Southern Indiana Women's Tennis opened its Great Lakes Valley Conference slate on Saturday with a 7-0 loss at the University of Illinois Springfield.
The Screaming Eagles (3-9, 0-1 GLVC) fell in straight sets after ceding the doubles point, despite the team fielding its normal lineup in singles play for the first time this spring.
USI Women's Tennis heads to Maryville University on Sunday, scheduled for a noon start. The Eagles return to Evansville next weekend to host Bellarmine University and the University of Findlay on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
