EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana Men's Tennis suffered a 4-1 Midwest Region setback to visiting Grand Valley State University Saturday afternoon at the Wesselman's Tennis Center.
The Screaming Eagles (6-7) suffered losses at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to fall behind, 1-0, heading into singles play.
Sophomore
Spencer Blandford (Louisville, Kentucky) earned a three-set win at No. 4 singles, but Grand Valley State took decisions at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles to earn the 4-1 win.
USI returns to action Tuesday at 3 p.m. when it hosts Maryville University in a non-conference match at the USI Tennis Courts.
