INDIANAPOLIS - University of Southern Indiana Volleyball (7-5, 1-3 GLVC) dropped a match to the University of Indianapolis (9-3, 4-0 GLVC) Friday night in straight sets.
Freshman
Sidney Hegg (Menasha, Wisconsin) led the Screaming Eagles with eight kills, senior
Erika Peoples had the high mark of assists (11) on the evening.
UIndy 25, USI 19
- The Eagles posted 15 kills in the frame, led by Hegg with six, followed by junior Elexis Coleman (Joliet, Illinois) and sophomore Alyssa Yochum (Columbia, Illinois) with three each
- Peoples posted 10 of her 11 assists and two digs...senior Haley Limper posted three digs
- The Greyhounds posted an absurd hitting percentage of .548 for 18 kills, and added a block and an ace
UIndy 25, USI 13
- The Eagles' offense slowed in the second frame, only posting eight kills including two each from Coleman, Hegg, and junior Shawntel James (Elkhart, Indiana)...James also led with three digs
- Sophomore Casey Cepicky (St. Louis, Missouri) tallied six assists in her only set appearance of the night
- UIndy continued to find success at the net with three blocks and 16 kills on a .414 hitting percentage
UIndy 25, USI 18
- Peoples led the Eagles in the front row with four kills and three digs
- Limper tallied the first USI ace in the match
- Junior Lizzy Gardner (Lafayette, Indiana) added three digs for five on the night

USI heads northwest to face No. 5 Lewis University in another GLVC road match tomorrow at 3 p.m. The Eagles return home on next Friday to host Truman State University.
