EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men's Basketball resumes the regular season schedule this weekend when it travels to the G-MAC/GLVC Crossover hosted by Malone University in Canton, Ohio. USI is slated to play Hillsdale College Friday at 5 p.m. (CST) and Malone Saturday at 6 p.m. (CST).

The Screaming Eagles open the 2017-18 home schedule at the Physical Activities Center November 14 when they host Brescia University at 7 p.m. The USI-Brescia matchup begins a four-game homestand for the Eagles that also includes Fisk University (November 20); Martin Methodist College (November 25); and Lewis University (November 30) for the 2017-18 Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.

USI splits SCB Hall of Fame Classic The University of Southern Indiana split its two games in the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, losing to Augustana University (SD), 77-73, and defeating 24th-ranked Kentucky Wesleyan College, 88-75.

Marcellous Washington, who was named to the SCB Hall of Fame Classic All-Tournament team, led the Eagles in scoring with 18.5 points per game, while junior guard
Alex Stein and freshman forward
Emmanuel Little posted 17.5 and 11.0 points per game, respectively. Stein scored a team-high 26 points in the loss to Augustana, while Little had a team-best 17 points in the win over KWC. Washington scored a career-high 21 points in the loss to Augustana.
Taking care of the basketball. Senior guard
Marcellous Washington dished 10 assists and did not have a turnover in 72 minutes of action between the two games at the SCB Hall of Fame Classic.
First collegiate double-double. Freshman forward
Emmanuel Little recorded the first double-double of his collegiate career, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, in the win over KWC.
Eagles conclude exhibition slate with first win over D-I foe. The Eagles ended the 2017-18 exhibition slate with a 95-92 victory over Eastern Illinois University. The win over an NCAA Division I foe was the first for the Eagles in the modern era of exhibition games and the first over a D-I opponent since 1990-91 when USI won at the University of Wisconsin. USI going into the G-MAC/GLVC Classic. USI will be in a regional crossover tournament for the second-straight year when it visits Malone University Friday and Saturday. The Eagles are slated to play Hillsdale College Friday at 5 p.m. (CST) and Malone University Saturday at 6 p.m. (CST).
USI vs. Hillsdale. USI holds a 2-0 lead in the series with Hillsdale. The Eagles won the regular season game in 1979-80 and in the first round of the NCAA II Midwest Regional in 1994-95.
USI vs. Malone. USI won the only meeting with Malone 2011-12 at the PAC.
