Eagles rebound for homestand split: The Eagles split their first home weekend of 2016, losing 2-1 in a heartbreaker to the University of Missouri-St. Louis in the home opener and winning the homestand finale 2-1 in double-overtime over Maryville University.

Freshmen leading the way: The Eagles have scored nine goals in the four games and all nine were produced by five freshmen. Freshman forward Eric Ramirez (Vincennes, Indiana) has jumped started the Eagles' offense with three of goals in the first three matches, while freshman midfielder Sean Rickey (Columbia, Illinois) and freshman defender Justin Brooks (Fishers, Indiana) have two goals apiece. Brooks also has a team-best two game-winning goals. Freshman midfielder Adam Newman (Marion, Illinois) and freshman defender Drew Albert (Eureka, Missouri) also have posted one tally each in the three victories.

Zehme between the posts: Junior goalkeeper Adam Zehme (Orland Park, Illinois) has started and won the three games of 2016 for the Eagles. The junior has allowed six goals and made 17 saves in the four contests. Zehme tied a career-high with seven saves versus Maryville.

USI trails Quincy in all-time record: The Eagles trail the Hawks in the all-time series, 17-4-1 despite picking up a 2-0 win last fall at Strassweg Field.

Eagles look to continue successes against Truman: USI is 2-0-1 against Truman since the Bulldogs joined the GLVC in 2013, but trail in the all-time series, 9-6-2. The Eagles took last year's match-up, 2-1, last year at Strassweg Field.
