She opened the weekend with 15 kills, a .636 attacking percentage, and three blocks in USI's three-set win over Midwest Region foe Kentucky Wesleyan College Friday. She had 13 kills, a .565 attacking percentage, and four blocks in USI's three-set win over Midwest Region foe Northwood University Friday night.

Winter, who was named to the All-Tournament team, shined in USI's only setback of the weekend, a four-set loss to No. 6 Wayne State College Saturday afternoon. She hammered down 12 kills, posted a .500 attacking percentage, and had eight blocks in what was the title match of the Dunn Hospitality Invitational.

Earning GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third time in her career, Winter surpassed the program's all-time record for block assists in USI's loss to Wayne State. She returned to the court Saturday night to lay down 11 kills, four blocks, and a .240 attacking percentage in USI's four-set win over Southwest Baptist University.

USI also got strong efforts from junior setter Quin Shoultz (Columbus, Indiana) and sophomore libero Shannon Farrell (Munster, Indiana), both of whom joined Winter on the All-Tournament team. Shoultz amassed 11.31 assist and 2.46 digs per set, while Farrell averaged 5.43 digs per set.

The Eagles return to action Friday and Saturday when they compete in the Davis & Elkins Classic in Elkins, West Virginia. USI plays Alderson Broaddus University Friday at 11 a.m. (CDT) before taking on host Davis & Elkins Friday at 4 p.m. The Eagles conclude the weekend with Slippery Rock University and Concord University (West Virginia) Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively.
