FINDLAY, Ohio. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team came back from a 2-0 deficit and earned a 2-2 double-overtime tie against the University of Findlay Sunday afternoon in Findlay, Ohio. USI sees its record go to 1-0-0, while Findlay finishes the first weekend, 1-0-0.
The Oilers struck first in the match with a pair of goals in the opening half to lead, 2-0, at the intermission. The Eagles flew back into the match during the final 45 minutes to knot the game up at 2-2.

Carissa Dyer (Crescent Springs, Kentucky) put the Eagles on the score with her first collegiate at goal at 67:33 and cut the deficit in half, 2-1.
The Eagles got the equalizer with 2:08 to play when senior forward
Madi Vellky (Dublin, OH) scored off a free kick from freshman midfielder
Emma Luczkowski (Westfield, Indiana). The goal was Vellky's first of the year, while the assist was Luczkowski's second of the weekend.
In overtime, neither team was able to find the back of the net with USI eading in shots, 5-4, and having the advantage in corner kicks, 3-0.
The Eagles remain on the road next and open Great Lakes Valley Conference action September 11 when they visit the University of Illinois Springfield. USI kicks off its 2015 home schedule September 13 when it hosts McKendree University for a noon match at Strassweg Field.
