EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women's Soccer could not overcome a two-goal first half outburst by Truman State University in losing 3-0 Friday evening at Strassweg Field. USI saw its record slide to 4-7-2 overall and 3-7-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while Truman State rose to 9-1-4, 8-0-3 GLVC.
 
The Bulldogs dominated the Screaming Eagles during the first half, building a 2-0 lead by the intermission. Truman State also outshot USI, 7-2, in the first 45 minutes. In the second half, Truman State extended the lead to 3-0 after outshooting USI, 8-5.
 
USI concludes the homestand Sunday when it hosts Quincy University for Senior Day. Quincy watched its record go to 9-2-3 overall and 6-2-3 GLVC after defeated to 13^th-ranked Bellarmine University, 3-0, on the road Friday night.
 
USI trails 12-6-1 in the all-time series against Quincy after losing a 2-0 decision to the Hawks on the road last fall. The Hawks have won eight of the last nine meetings with the Eagles winning at home, 1-0 in overtime, in 2011.
