INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team finished its two-match road swing by being shut out by the University of Indianapolis, 3-0, Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, Indiana. USI goes to 2-6-2 overall and 1-5-2 GLVC, while UIndy watches its records go to 3-6-2 overall, 2-4-2 GLVC.
The Screaming Eagles' defense allowed a goal in the first half and a pair of tallies in the second half in falling to the Greyhounds. Overall, UIndy outshot USI, 16-13, in the match, while the Eagles held the advantage in corner kicks, 6-4.
USI returns to the friendly surroundings of Strassweg Field October 10 when the Eagles host William Jewell College for a 5 p.m. match and the beginning of a two-match homestand. The Eagles-Cardinals contest also is USI's annual "Kick for the Cure" match.
The Eagles finish the homestand October 12 when they host Rockhurst University for a noon contest.
