LEBANON, Ill.  – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team battled McKendree University to a 0-0 double-overtime tie Sunday afternoon in Lebanon, Illinois. USI sees its record go to 3-0-1 overall, 1-0-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference, while McKendree finishes the day 3-1-1 overall, 1-0-1 conference.

The 3-0-1 record marks the first time that the Screaming Eagles are unbeaten through the first four games since 2002.

The Eagles and the Bearcats contested up and down the pitch for 110 scoreless-minutes. USI played the final five minutes of regulation and the two overtime periods short-handed after the Eagles' freshman defender Gabriella Korte (St. Louis, Missouri) was red carded at 85:43.

For the match, McKendree held an advantage in overall shots, 20-10, and shots on-goal, 9-2, but USI had the lead in corner kicks, 7-4.  Eagles' sophomore goalkeeper Jackie Lohmann (Owensboro, Kentucky) kept the Bearcats out of the Eagles' goal, tying a career-high with nine saves.

USI returns to action Friday at 5 p.m. when it hosts Missouri University of Science & Technology at Strassweg Field to start a brief two-match homestand. The Eagles conclude next weekend's action September 22 when Drury University visits USI for a noon match.
