EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana women's basketball team continues its four-game homestand Friday at 6 p.m. when it hosts Midwest Region opponent Salem International University at the Physical Activities Center.
USI (2-0), which is coming off a 96-68 win over Midwest Region foe Davis & Elkins College, is looking for its third consecutive 3-0 start and its second straight win over a team from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Anna Hackert leads the Screaming Eagles with 17.5 points and 9.0 rebound per contest, while senior guard
Ariel Barnes is chipping in 13.0 points and 3.5 assists per outing. Senior guard
Stephanie Carpenter is contributing 11.0 points and a team-best 4.5 assists per game.
Salem International (1-0), which visits Virginia State University Wednesday evening, is coming off a 98-59 win over Penn State University Fayette. Senior center Porcha Davis had 20 points to pace the Fighting Tigers in their regular-season debut, while junior forward Whitney McCargo added 10 points and 13 rebounds.
USI leads the all-time series with Salem International, 2-0, after defeating the Tigers, 81-39, in December of 2011.
