EVANSVILLE, Ind.--- The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team concludes its 2013 road slate this weekend, beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. when the Screaming Eagles take on Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division leader No. 20 Truman State (17-7, 10-1 GLVC), followed by West Division opponent Quincy University (8-15, 2-9 GLVC) on Sunday at 1 p.m.

USI returns home November 9 for a five-match homestand to close out regular-season play.

A week of regional action: USI enters this weekend coming off a three-set win over regional opponent Cedarville University on Tuesday. Last weekend at the GLVC/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Crossover tournament, the Eagles finished at 1-2, sweeping Northern Michigan University and falling in straight-sets to Saginaw Valley State University after and Grand Valley State University.

Current GLVC East Division standings: The Eagles (18-6, 9-2 GLVC) are currently second in the GLVC East Division volleyball standings, trailing Lewis University (16-7, 10-1 GLVC) whose only conference loss this season was at the hands of USI.

Winter still a threat at the net. Sophomore middle blocker
Abbey Winter (Germantown, Illinois) leads the conference in total blocks, with 71, averaging 1.58 per set. On the season, Winter has racked up 120 total blocks, and is just 15 away from breaking USI's record of 134 set by Ashley Henricks in 2006.

Fawn Ryan (Batesville, Indiana) and
Lauren DeShaney (Appleton, Wisconsin) are ninth and 10
th, respectively, averaging 3.11 and 3.09 kills per set. Senior setter
Jorae Bradbury (Decatur, Indiana) ranks sixth in assists, averaging 9.60 per set. Sophomore right side hitter
Erica Oberbroeckling (Westfield, Indiana) is second in service aces, averaging .40 per set. Defensively, senior libero

Truman State Notes: The Bulldogs fell five spots to the number 20 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll. Truman is coming off a 1-2 showing at the GLVC/GLIAC crossover, falling to Grand Valley Sate. Truman's squad features Ali Patterson who leads the conference in hitting percentage, with 90 kills on 180 swings and 16 errors, and Allie Brak who leads the Bulldogs in kills (3.58/set).

Eagles vs. Bulldogs: This is the first conference matchup between Truman and the Eagles, with the host team leading the all-time series, 3-0.

Quincy University Notes: The Hawks went 2-1 at the Crossover, defeating Lake Erie College in four sets, falling to Tiffin University in three, and finally taking Ohio Dominican University in a five-set thriller. Quincy has dropped six of its last seven GLVC matches.Â

Eagles vs. Hawks: USI leads the all-time series with Quincy, 23-12. Last year, the Eagles swept the Hawks, 3-0, at the PAC.
