RENSSELAER, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team started a two-game road trip with a 1-0 victory over Saint Joseph's College Friday night in Rensselaer, Indiana. USI rises to 6-3-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the GLVC, while Saint Joseph's goes to 1-8-0, 0-7-0 GLVC.
 
The Screaming Eagles have won four-straight matches for the first time since 2003 when they had a six-match streak.
 
After the teams came up scoreless in the first half, the Screaming Eagles struck for the match's only goal when senior midfielder Austin Andrekus (St. Charles, Illinois) scored at 81:30. Andrekus' team-high fourth goal of the year was assisted by senior midfielder Jeffrey McClure.
 
Between the posts, junior goalkeeper Jeffrey Neidlinger (Carmel, Indiana) recorded his second shutout of the season. Neidlinger faced seven shots and made three saves.
 
USI completes its two-match road swing Sunday when travels to the University of Indianapolis for a 1:30 p.m. (CDT) contest. The Greyhounds rose to 4-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the GLVC after defeating Kentucky Wesleyan College, 4-0, at home tonight.
