EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Four University of Southern Indiana women's basketball players recorded double-doubles as the Screaming Eagles blasted Marygrove College, 86-31, Sunday at the Physical Activities Center.

After missing 13 of its first 18 shots from the field and holding a slim 12-9 advantage with 13:36 to play in the opening period, USI began to find its rhythm as it shut down the Mustangs throughout the last 33 minutes of the contest.

USI (7-0) made 10 of its final 21 shots of the first half as it went on a 30-5 run to build a comfortable 42-14 cushion at the intermission.

Sophomore forward/center Mary O'Keefe, who played most of the opening period with foul trouble, scored 11 of her 15 points in the first 20 minutes to aid the Eagles. Junior guard Jessica Parker chipped in 10 of her 16 points in the opening frame as the Eagles took command of the contest.

The Eagles dominated the paint as they out-rebounded the Mustangs (1-10), 69-30, including 33-10 in the final period. USI's 69 rebounds eclipsed the former single-game school-record (67), which was set February 13, 1993 in a 116-74 win over Kentucky State University.

USI shot 54.3 percent from the field in the second half and 45.9 percent for the game as it continued to increase its lead throughout the final 20 minutes. Defensively, the Eagles held Marygrove to just 6-of-33 from the floor in both halves and a measly .182 shooting percentage for the game.

Sophomore forward/center Anna Hackert finished with a game-high 18 points and a career-high 14 rebounds to lead the Eagles. Hackert, who played just two minutes in the opening frame after picking up two quick fouls, had 16 points and nine rebounds in the final 20 minutes.

Parker, who was 6-of-7 from the field, added a career-high 10 rebounds and five assists to her 16 points as she earned her first-career double-double. O'Keefe paired her 15 points with 10 rebounds, while sophomore forward/center Cayla Herbst rounded out the Eagles' double-double efforts as she finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks. It also was the first-career double-doubles for Herbst and O'Keefe.

The four double-doubles is believed to be the most in a single game in the USI women's basketball team's history. The last time USI had at least two players with a double-double in a single game was in an 83-74 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis on February 19, 2009—Brittany Neuman had 18 points and 18 rebounds, while Abby Williams had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

USI returns to action December 18 when it hosts Cedarville University in a Midwest Region showdown at the PAC. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
