EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team and 12
th-ranked Rockhurst University battled to a double overtime tie Sunday afternoon at Strassweg Field. USI goes to 6-5-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the GLVC, while Rockhurst finishes the day 10-0-2, 8-0-2 GLVC.
The Hawks outshot the Screaming Eagles in the match, 19-10, and had more shots on-goal, 7-6. Rockhurst also posted a distinct advantage in corner kicks, 8-2.
USI freshman goalkeeper
Jackie Lohmann (Owensboro, Kentucky) stood tall between the posts for the Eagles and earned her third shutout of the season. Lohmann made seven saves overall during the 110 minutes of the match, two saves coming in the overtime periods.
USI hits the road for the next three matches when it travels to Drury University (October 12); Missouri University of Science and Technology (October 14); and McKendree University (October 19). The Eagles return home October 21 for Senior Day when they host Bellarmine University.
