Jeffrey McClure (Indianapolis, Indiana) scored at 83:51 to lift the Screaming Eagles to a 1-0 victory at Davis & Elkins College Sunday morning in Elkins, West Virginia. USI rises to 1-1-0, while Davis & Elkins falls to 1-1-0.
The goal was McClure's first of the year and the 10th of his career. The game winner also was the fourth of his career.

Ben Dempsey (Evansville, Indiana) posted his second career shutout in the USI victory. Dempsey made three saves in turning away 16 Davis & Elkins shots.
The Eagles outshot the Senators, 20-16, while the teams were even in corner kicks, 4-4.
The Eagles finish the season-opening road trip and open the 2011 GLVC schedule 5:30 p.m. (CDT) Friday at Bellarmine University. USI opens 2011 home schedule September 11 at 2:30 p.m. when it hosts defending national champion and preseason number-one ranked Northern Kentucky University.
