EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team is looking to remain perfect at home this weekend when it returns to the friendly surroundings of Strassweg Field to host the University of Indianapolis and Saint Joseph's College. Game time Friday versus UIndy is 5 p.m., while kick off Sunday against Saint Joseph's is noon.

Match coverage, including live stats, can be found at gousieagles.com.

The Screaming Eagles (3-5-1, 3-3-0 GLVC) have had the offense clicking at home this fall, averaging 2.3 goals per contest in going 3-0-0 at Strassweg Field. USI is averaging less than a goal per game away from home and is 0-5-1.

Individually, USI is led offensively at Strassweg Field by junior forward Susan Ellsperman (Newburgh, Indiana). She has five points at home this year on one goal and a team-high three assists.

The defense also has been better home this year, posting an 0.67 goals against average, while the road has seen USI's GAA rise to 2.09.

The Greyhounds of UIndy (5-3-0, 3-2-0 GLVC) have won three of their last four matches after starting the year at the .500 mark through four games. UIndy swept a pair at home last weekend, defeating the University of Illinois Springfield, 3-0, and Quincy University, 1-0.

USI and UIndy have split the first 16 meetings between the two programs. The Eagles won last year's match-up, 2-0, in Indianapolis.

The Pumas of Saint Joseph's (2-6-0, 1-5-0 GLVC), who travel to Kentucky Wesleyan College Friday before coming to Strassweg Field, suffered a 2-0 setback to Quincy last Friday and a 2-1 loss to Illinois Springfield last Sunday. Saint Joseph's had won two straight prior to its two-game skid after starting the year with four consecutive losses.

Saint Joseph's leads the all-time series with USI, 9-7-2, but the Eagles have won the last two meetings. USI defeated Saint Joseph's 3-0 last year and 4-0 in 2009.

Following the short two-match homestand, USI goes on the road for four-straight GLVC contests.
