USI concludes regular season at home versus #21 NKU
GAME NOTES
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The sixth-ranked University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team ends its five-game road swing Thursday at second-ranked Bellarmine University before concluding the 2010-11 regular season at home against 21st-ranked Northern Kentucky University. Tip-off Thursday in Louisville is set for 7 p.m. (CST), while start time for Senior Day at the Physical Activities Center on Saturday is 3:15 p.m.
The Screaming Eagles (21-3, 13-3 GLVC) are coming off their first loss of the road trip, losing, 84-77, at Kentucky Wesleyan College Monday night. USI, however, has won five of its last six games and three of four on the road trip.
The Eagles are looking for a little payback Thursday against the Knights of Bellarmine (23-1, 16-0 GLVC). Bellarmine, which has won 15-straight games, defeated USI, 69-60, at the PAC in December.
USI continues to lead the all-time series against Bellarmine, 43-29, and holds a lead in the last 10 games at Knights Hall, 6-4.
The Norse of NKU (19-5, 12-4 GLVC) come to the PAC after a trip up the University of Indianapolis on Thursday. NKU saw its six-game winning streak end with its loss to Bellarmine last Saturday.
The Eagles lead the all-time series, 46-18, after defeating the Norse, 76-63, in Highland Heights, Kentucky, in December. USI also has taken the last nine games against NKU at the PAC.
