ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team finished a four-game road trip with a loss at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 2-0, Sunday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri. USI falls to 6-7-2 overall and 6-5-1 in the GLVC, while UMSL rises to 7-6-0, 6-5-0 GLVC.
The Screaming Eagles and the Tritons battled to a scoreless draw through the first 45 minutes. UMSL had all of the chances in the first 45 minutes with a 5-0 lead in shots.
The Tritons took control in the second half with a pair of goals midway through the final half. UMSL broke through the USI defense with goals at 61:22 and 78:40.
USI, which finished the four-game road swing with a 2-1-1 mark, returns to the friendly surroundings of Strassweg Field October 21 to play the University of Illinois Springfield and start a regular-season ending three-match homestand.
