EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team returns to action when it competes at the fourth annual Mizuno GLIAC/GLVC Crossover in Aurora, Illinois, this Friday and Saturday. Live stats for all three matches can be found at gousieagles.com.

USI (12-5, 9-2 GLVC), the third seed from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, begins the 32-team crossover Friday at 11:30 a.m. when it takes on Wayne State University. The Screaming Eagles also face Saginaw Valley State University Friday at 5:30 p.m. and No. 8 Hillsdale College Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Eagles are on a five-match winning streak after their three-set victory over Kentucky State University Tuesday night. Freshman outside hitter Lauren DeShaney led the Eagles with nine kills, a .533 attacking percentage, and three aces.

For the season, senior middle blocker Danielle LaGrange leads USI with 4.28 points per set as she is averaging a team-best 3.60 kills and 0.83 blocks per frame. She also has a team-high .298 attacking percentage and is averaging 2.07 digs per game since she started playing in the back row eight matches ago.

Wayne State (6-10, 5-6 GLIAC), which is the eighth seed from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, has lost three straight and seven of its last eight matches. The Warriors, who lost to USI in four sets at last year's crossover, have played four nationally-ranked opponents in their last nine outings.

Saginaw Valley State (9-6, 8-3 GLIAC) is the number four seed from the GLIAC and has won three of its last four matches. The Cardinals begin the crossover with a bout with the University of Missouri-St. Louis Friday morning.

Hillsdale (14-2, 11-1 GLIAC), the number two seed from the GLIAC, has won five straight matches and 14 of its last 15 matches since beginning the year with a five-set loss to No. 4 University of Minnesota-Duluth. The Chargers, who play the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and the University of Indianapolis Friday, defeated the Eagles at the crossover last year and in the opening round of the NCAA II Midwest Region Tournament.
