Julia Kohnen (Florissant, Missouri) scored the game-winning goal at 19:32 of the first half, giving the Screaming Eagles a 1-0 victory over Maryville University Friday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri. USI raises its record to 9-3-0 overall and 7-3-0 in the GLVC, while Maryville falls to 2-7-2, 2-6-1 GLVC.
The game-winner was Kohnen's fourth of the season and was assisted by junior forward
Meagan Kempf (Evansville, Indiana). Maryville, statistically, dominated in every way except the scoreboard. The Saints outshot the Eagles, 15-9, and had the advantage in corner kicks, 3-2.

Stephanie Bodamer (Highland, Indiana) made seven saves and tied a career-high with her sixth shutout of the season. She also posted a career-best with her ninth win of the year.
The Eagles conclude the two-match road swing Sunday when they travel to Missouri University of Science & Technology for a noon contest. Missouri S&T, which is 5-3-0 overall and 5-3-0 in the GLVC, plays Kentucky Wesleyan College tonight in Rolla, Missouri.
