EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team is hosting a pair of matches at Strassweg Field this weekend after winning a pair on the road and extending its winning streak to five games. USI kicks off the short two-match homestand Friday at 7 p.m. versus Urbana University and ends its short stay at Strassweg Field Sunday at 2:30 p.m. by welcoming the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The Screaming Eagles (10-3-0, 8-3-0), who have reached double-digits in wins for the first time since 2000, extended the winning streak over the weekend with a 1-0 win at Maryville University and an exciting 4-2 shootout victory at Missouri University of Science & Technology.

Jessica Scott (Louisville, Kentucky), who had a pair of second half goals in the win at Missouri S&T. Junior forward
Nancy Newcomer (Parma Heights, Ohio), sophomore midfielder
Paige Nuelle (St. Louis, Missouri), and freshman forward
Julia Kohnen (Florissant, Missouri) also had goals in Friday's and Sunday's wins.
For the season, junior forward
Meagan Kempf (Evansville, Indiana) leads the team with 18 points on six goals and six assists. Kempf is tied for the team lead in goals scored by Newcomer, who also has six tallies.
Nationally, sophomore forward
Susan Ellsperman (Newburgh, Indiana) ranks seventh nationally and leads the team with eight assists. Her eight assists also is ties Ellsperman for first in the GLVC.
USI junior goalkeeper
Stephanie Bodamer (Highland, Indiana) leads the Eagles' defense. Bodamer, who has a 0.94 goals against average, reached a career-high in wins (10) during last weekend action, while tying career mark in shutouts (6).
Urbana (3-7-3) has struggled the last three weeks, going 2-3-1.
USI leads the all-time series with Urbana, 2-0-0, after defeating the Blue Knights, 1-0, last fall in Ohio. The Eagles won the first meeting, 4-0, at Strassweg Field in 2008.
UMSL (6-4-2, 4-4-2) has a busy week before visiting Strassweg Field on Sunday. The Tritons started their week with a win over Upper Iowa University at home Tuesday and makes a trip to Kentucky Wesleyan College Friday before playing the Eagles.
The Eagles trail the all-time series with the Tritons, 9-6-0, but USI took last year's meeting, 4-0, in St. Louis, Missouri.
