EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team racked up a .375 attacking percentage en route to a dominating 25-13, 25-13, 25-10 sweep over visiting Oakland City University Tuesday night at the Physical Activities Center.

USI (11-7) racked up a blistering .483 attacking percentage in the opening frame as it jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the match. Oakland City (7-7), meanwhile, hit at a .316 pace in the opening frame, but a .710 side-out percentage propelled the Screaming Eagles to the 12-point victory.

The Eagles' defense dominated the second and third sets, holding the Lady Oaks to negative attacking percentages in both frames. USI, which held the Oaks to a -.014 attacking percentage for the match, had nine team blocks and forced Oakland City into 18 attacking errors in the final two sets as it breezed to the three-set victory.

Senior outside hitter Brittani Oliver and junior middle blocker Danielle LaGrange combined for 22 kills and a .436 attacking percentage to lead the Eagles. Oliver had 11 kills, a .529 attacking percentage, and a match-high 11 digs, while LaGrange added 11 kills, a .364 attacking percentage, and four blocks.

Sophomore setter Ashley King had a match-high 17 assists and five blocks despite playing in only two sets.

USI returns to action Friday at 11:30 a.m. when it takes on No. 13 Hillsdale College in the Mizuno GLVC/GLIAC Crossover in Aurora, Illinois. The Eagles also play Wayne State University Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Ashland University Saturday at 1 p.m.
