FINDLAY, Ohio—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team fell to Hillsdale College 25-20, 25-21, 25-18 Saturday afternoon at the TownePlace Suites Classic.

USI (4-3) battled back from early deficits in all three sets to take slim leads in each frame, but the Chargers (6-1) put together a 5-0 run to pull away in the first set; a 6-1 run to pull away in the second frame; and a 7-0 run toward the end of the final set to hand the Screaming Eagles the setback.

Sophomore middle blocker Danielle LaGrange led the Eagles with 11 kills, a .368 attacking percentage, eight digs, and three blocks, while sophomore libero Krista Coccaro had a match-high 18 digs.

Senior setter Melanie Pund added 19 assists and 10 digs in two sets, while junior outside hitter Brittani Oliver finished with seven kills and 10 digs.

USI takes on tournament host The University of Findlay Saturday at 5:30 p.m. (CDT) to conclude its weekend.
