The victory also stopped USI's two-match losing skid that it suffered last weekend in the GLVC.

The score would remain 1-0 until late in the second half when Rawnsley feed the ball to sophomore forward Shane Cloutier, who recorded his first collegiate goal at 77:54 to seal the 2-0 victory.

Between the posts, freshman goalkeeper Keenan Johnson recorded his first collegiate shutout and his second win of the year. Johnson faced 14 shots, four on-goal, and had four saves.

USI controlled the match throughout, leading in overall shots, 30-14, and had a 20-6 advantage by the intermission.
