EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana volleyball team looks to continue its strong start to the 2009 season when it competes in the TownePlace Suites Classic in Findlay, Ohio, Friday and Saturday.

USI (3-1) begins play Friday at 11 a.m. (CDT) when it takes on NCAA II Midwest Region foe Wayne State University. The Screaming Eagles' bout with the Warriors of Wayne State (4-0) is the first of four matches against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents.

The Eagles also play Lake Superior State University (0-4) Friday at 4 p.m. before taking on Hillsdale College (4-0) and The University of Findlay (0-3) Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Both Wayne State and Hillsdale were picked to finish first in the GLIAC South Division in the GLIAC Preseason Coaches' poll.

USI enters this weekend's matches after a strong showing at the Ferris State University Bulldog Classic last weekend.
