KENOSHA, Wis. – The University of Southern Indiana men's soccer team fell short in a bid to win three-straight GLVC matches, losing at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 1-0, Friday afternoon in Kenosha, Wisconsin. USI falls to 2-3-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the GLVC, while UWP rises to 6-1-1, 2-1-1 GLVC.
The Rangers got on the board with the only goal they would need in the first half on a goal 26:17. The Screaming Eagles were out shot in the match 24-13 and was at a disadvantage in corner kicks, 9-5.
The Eagles return to GLVC action Sunday when they travel to Lewis University for a 2:30 p.m. match. The Flyers rose to 3-2-1 overall and 2-2-0 in the GLVC after defeating the University of Missouri-St. Louis today. The next home game for USI is September 25 when the Eagles host the University of Illinois-Springfield at Strassweg Field.
