QUINCY, Ill. – The University of Southern Indiana women's soccer team saw its first post-season appearance in four seasons end early with a 1-0 loss to Quincy University Sunday afternoon in Quincy, Illinois. USI finishes the season 9-8-3 overall, while Quincy advances with a record of 13-4-1.
The Hawks scored the match's only goal with 9:50 to play when QU midfielder Megan Wingenbach headed in a corner kick by forward Jenna Boyko. USI goalkeeper Stephanie Bodamer kept the Eagles in the match for as long as possible, making seven saves in the 90 minutes.
Quincy outshot USI, 13-7 (8-4 in shots on-goal) overall, and had the advantage in corner kicks, 6-5.
